The Cariboo News – Chilcotin Region Updates 1. Wildfire Recovery Efforts Continue Near Alexis Creek Crews and volunteers are still working to restore areas affected by last summer’s wildfires west of Alexis Creek. The Ministry of Forests reports that replanting and soil stabilization projects are underway, with local contractors leading much of the work. Residents say the return of green growth is a welcome sight after months of recovery. 2. Chilcotin Highway Upgrades Move Forward Highway 20 improvements between Riske Creek and Tatla Lake are progressing ahead of schedule. The upgrades include resurfacing, new guardrails, and improved signage to enhance safety for travelers and transport trucks. The project is expected to wrap up before winter conditions set in. 3. Tsilhqot’in Nation Hosts Cultural Gathering in Anahim Lake Hundreds gathered in Anahim Lake this weekend for the annual Tsilhqot’in Cultural Celebration. This Cat Loves the Hammock built just for him.

  Nice fire hose hammock. This is done by weaving and fastening with bolts and washers. I wonder if we could do one for a horse? Would a horse want to use it? How would it climb into it? Forget about the horse idea.  Now that it's a hit I guess cats big and small will be nagging the appropriate people. It looks good so I guess you can't blame them. It looks like cats may like the idea better than cardboard boxes 😁.

Happy Halloween 👻🎃🎃

Finally, 😄 Halloween is here. The Cariboo, Chilcotin weather is looking pretty good. A cool 7° but no wind and as nearly always no 🌧️ rain. A nice evening for trick or treat 🍫🍬🍭. Plenty of candy on hand but only a few 👻 ghosts and goblins 👺💀🤠. Now the problem? Is what is going to happen to the leftovers? 🤔 Hmmm.  And so the day ends, quietly 🤫😢.

Window Day

My new 2025 f 150 with 6K on it is going back for the 4th visit. The driver window contole doesn't work. No drive thru for a month. (I really don't use drive through except for the occasional cup of coffee). The USB port has also gone on vacation. The dashboard has been updated 2x I think. This happens at night so at least no dealer visit needed. Something about the brakes needed to get done at a dealership. I'm thinking that I should have stayed with RAM. This is the 2nd time I have tried Ford. The last RAM (2015) gave me 340K with ONE recall. Why would you quit on it?

How old is the Saint Hooters ghost?

Thinking about trying to use the blogger app. My phone skills are not the best but I have a bit of spare time so here we go 😁.   Really slow going and what is the best way to get the electricity to the bathroom heater.   Shouldn't it be a simple thing 🤔? Cut a hole in the wall and see if I can fish a wire from outlet A to the new outlet location. I have been 🥚🥚 this for 6 months. It will be time to get started soon.
