It smells like we had a visitor last night. 🐈 Pee smell 😩. A lot of time and large quantities of vinegar where used to overcome the big stink.  I believe I know the guy who is responsible. I saw him a few days ago painting an old wheelbarrow and a fence. He's a black longhair and looks like he's homeless. I am going to ask about him.  We don't need another cat or I would leave some food out for him. Also our Fluffy Lady wouldn't appreciate his company I'm sure. She was abandoned and has found a good home that I don't think she would be willing to share. So here we are..

The Cariboo News – Chilcotin Region Updates 1. Wildfire Recovery Efforts Continue Near Alexis Creek Crews and volunteers are still working to restore areas affected by last summer’s wildfires west of Alexis Creek. The Ministry of Forests reports that replanting and soil stabilization projects are underway, with local contractors leading much of the work. Residents say the return of green growth is a welcome sight after months of recovery. 2. Chilcotin Highway Upgrades Move Forward Highway 20 improvements between Riske Creek and Tatla Lake are progressing ahead of schedule. The upgrades include resurfacing, new guardrails, and improved signage to enhance safety for travelers and transport trucks. The project is expected to wrap up before winter conditions set in. 3.   Nice fire hose hammock. This is done by weaving and fastening with bolts and washers. I wonder if we could do one for a horse? Would a horse want to use it? How would it climb into it? Forget about the horse idea.  Now that it's a hit I guess cats big and small will be nagging the appropriate people. It looks good so I guess you can't blame them. It looks like cats may like the idea better than cardboard boxes 😁.

Finally, 😄 Halloween is here. The Cariboo, Chilcotin weather is looking pretty good. A cool 7° but no wind and as nearly always no 🌧️ rain. A nice evening for trick or treat 🍫🍬🍭. Plenty of candy on hand but only a few 👻 ghosts and goblins 👺💀🤠. Now the problem? Is what is going to happen to the leftovers? 🤔 Hmmm.  And so the day ends, quietly 🤫😢.
